We only start making it once you have ordered. Around four working days later your set is ready to ship, engraving included. On top of that comes the carrier's transit time. As soon as your parcel leaves the workshop you receive a shipping confirmation.

Within Germany shipping is free. To the EU it costs 9.99 euros, and nothing at all from an order value of 99 euros. To Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Norway it costs 19.99 euros, to the USA and Canada 50 euros. The display in the checkout is always authoritative, you see the cost there before you order.

Yes. We deliver to Germany, to the countries of the European Union and, since September 2026, also to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the USA and Canada. You can see which countries are selectable in the checkout.

Within the EU no customs duties or import charges arise for you. For the five countries outside the EU they do: there you are the importer, and import tax, customs duty and the carrier's clearance fee are added to the order value. We ship unpaid of duty, so these amounts are included neither in the price nor in the shipping costs. Their level is determined by the law of your country. The details are in our shipping policy.

If your country is not on the list, write to us at info@ikigo.eu and we will see what is possible.

Because there are two of us in a small workshop in Parkstein and we laser every board ourselves. The limit is set deliberately, it protects the quality. When a set sells out it takes longer, but it does not get worse.

On the product page you choose the option Individual text and type in your dedication, up to 40 characters. You also choose the typeface, the placement and the edge, and on single sided boards the side of the board as well. In the engraving studio you see the result as a preview on your material before ordering. The laser burns the dedication in permanently, dark on wood and light on slate.

An engraved dedication costs 10 euros extra, your own artwork 20 euros. The surcharge is shown directly at the option and is included in the displayed price as soon as you have selected it.

Yes. Choose Own artwork and upload your file as JPG, PNG, SVG or PDF. We engrave logos, drawings and lettering directly. Photographs we first redraw as a line motif, a photograph cannot be engraved as a photograph. Within 24 hours you receive a digital draft by e-mail. We only engrave once you approve it. Please only upload artwork you hold the rights to.

Shop Pay and PayPal jump straight to the checkout and do not carry your engraving details with them. We therefore hide them as soon as you personalise, otherwise your order would reach us without the dedication. Without personalisation both routes stay open.

Yes. For the first 14 days your statutory right of withdrawal applies. You may unpack and inspect the set as you would be allowed to do in a shop. Beyond that we voluntarily grant 30 days, in which case the set should come back unused and in its original packaging. In both cases write to us first at info@ikigo.eu and we will sort out the return route.

No. A board with your dedication is made specifically for you and is therefore excluded from withdrawal and from return. That is exactly why the preview in the engraving studio comes before the order, and why for your own artwork the draft approval by e-mail comes before the engraving. If something is damaged, engraved incorrectly or not what you approved, that is not a return case but our mistake. Get in touch and we will put it right.

Write to us with a photograph at info@ikigo.eu, ideally straight after unpacking. Transport damage is at our expense, we remake or refund.

No problem, we will print a replacement. Write to us telling us which set you have and which colour is missing.

The boards are made of regional birch wood or of natural slate. Slate is up to 400 million years old, every plate turns out differently, so your board is one of a kind. We print the stones in 3D from PLA, a plastic made from plant starch. Production runs almost climate neutrally on solar power.

A soft dry cloth is enough. Slate also tolerates mild soapy water. Wood does not like moisture or long spells in direct sun. Neither of them needs oil.

A strategy game for two, around four thousand years old, called Go in Japan, Baduk in Korea and Weiqi in China. The rules fit on one page, the game itself is deeper than chess. You place stones on the intersections and try to enclose territory. Whoever has more territory wins.

A 9x9. Games take twenty minutes instead of two hours, and the basic patterns stand out clearly. After that 13x13 follows as a learning step, with more room for strategy. The full tournament size 19x19 is worth it once you know the game. Our reversible board carries 9x9 and 13x13 on its two sides and thus covers the whole beginning.

The Go sets come with a guide containing the rules. You need nothing more for your first game. The rules are learned in an evening, everything else comes with playing.

It is the most common reason people order here. An engraved dedication turns it into a piece that exists only once. Factor in the production time of around four working days and the shipping transit time if there is a date attached. If it gets tight, write to us and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.
